The Graduate Center of the City University of New York
Ph.D. in Earth and Environmental Sciences, Geography Specialization
My dissertation "Unraveling the Geographies of the US Public Education System: an analysis of scale, segregation, and hegemony"traces the history of public education in the United States to understand the system's architecture and how it works to reproduce social inequities. I detail why many of today's educational policy "solutions" actually create more disparities and what's needed for effective change.
