As an academic and community organizer, I work to create research-based strategies to strengthen social movement building. Having spent the past decade working with various non-profits, I’ve seen the power that foundations and donors wield over the non-profit sector. Rather than take their mandate from outside sources, I believe the most effective activism comes from organizations that use in-depth research and analysis, as well as community-based wisdom to inform their strategies. I help social justice organizations develop well-informed actions.
